    This course covers design concepts, advanced word processing features, and basic desktop publishing techniques that allow the user to create professional-looking documents with attractive graphics, text effects, and eye-catching design elements. Students will create a variety of documents such as business correspondence, business cards, flyers, brochures, promotional documents, presentation materials, newsletters, reports, and manuals. Basic computer skill including a good understanding of file management (and/or BT 1010 or equivalent) is highly recommended.

    This is the first course in a series of four. Students who take this course will be involved in the Snow College Business Club and will have the opportunity of affiliating with Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL) and/or Collegiate DECA. This course will assist students in gaining the competitive edge through engagement in career exploration, leadership development, self-improvement, and volunteer programs. Students build their resumes, meet business leaders in the community and beyond, experience the rewards of community service and enjoy unique travel opportunities--allwhile networking with both peers and professionals. This course brings business and education together in a positive working relationship through innovative leadership development programs. Students may register for 1 or 2 credits.

    This class will teach the student how to design and create attractive and effective web pages. The students will learn the elements necessary to reach a target audience as well as the principles of good layout and web design, taking into account proper graphic aspects. etc. Web sites created are reviewed and evaluated for their effectiveness in the use of all of the principles of good web design. Students will have hands-on experience using available web editing software and they will build web sites incorporating those learned principles.

    This is an intermediate course in Business Computer Applilcations. Students will study the four basic business applications, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and Microsoft PowerPoint from a business perspective. Students will use the business applications in a case study setting to accomplish tasks and solve problems. This course, in company with its prerequisite, meets/exceeds the Board of Regent's Business Core Advisory Committee's requirement, and the Business Computer Proficiency required for matriculation into college and university business schools in the state of Utah.

    This course is designed for students with no prior knowledge of QuickBooks and limited accounting experience. This course will focus on fundamental accounting concepts and the most common software tasks using service and merchandising businesses that include payroll, company creation, and a practice set. Basic computer skill including a good understanding of file management (and/or BT 1010 or equivalent) is highly recommended.

    This course will instruct students in fundamentals of web site creation practices by developing basic skills in XHTML and CSS. Students will explore the range of Internet and we technologies, looking partiularly at future opportunities for Web and multimedia developers. Students will also examine various multimedia formats (images, audio, video, sound, and animation) and learn about Web standards and accessibility.

    In this course students learn principles of and practice in preparing professional business letters, memorandums, electronic messages, reports, and oral presentations. This course also explores employment document preparation, as well as job interview strategies and techniques.
