    This course combines theory and experiential assignments to introduce students to the main concepts of innovation as it applies to any organization. Students will explore the crucial importance of innovation to individuals, organizations, and the entrepreneurial process. Students will have a greater understanding of the innovative processes and be better able to harness and direct those forces for themselves and others leading to quality improvement.

TED lectures explore the topics of innovative technology, entertainment, and design. Delivery will be through electronic means. The course will introduce students to the concepts of creativity, innovation, thought processes, and desired outcomes. The course will explore the crucial importance of these concepts to individuals, organizations, and the entrepreneurial process.

    This course addresses basic principles of business law, including the legal environment of business, forms of business organization, ethics, torts, contracts, agency, and the purchase and sale of goods under the Uniform Commercial Code. This class will provide a basic framework of business law which will help students who either start their own business, work for someone else, or pursue a legal degree. This course is part of the Associate Science Business (ASB) degree and can also be taken to satisfy a requirement for the AAS Business Management degree.

    This is a thought provoking and challenging course based on the presumption that individuals are moral beings that are confronted with a variety of moral decisions, and that business is a social activity and, like all social activity, cannot function unless certain moral prerequisites are fulfilled. Some of the topics addressed include the development of business ethics as a study, various moral philosophies, social responsibility, organizational culture and ethical decision making, organizational relationships and conflicts, ethics programs, ethics in a global economy, and business ethics and organizational performance.
