This course provides students with the essential knowledge and skills required to care for cardiac patients while performing diagnostic procedures. Focusing on the practical aspects of patient interaction, it covers the preparation and monitoring of patients undergoing electrocardiograms (ECGs), echocardiograms, stress tests, and other cardiovascular diagnostic tests. Students will learn about proper patient positioning, monitoring vital signs, and address key areas of patient comfort, communication, and safety, emphasizing the importance of empathy and professionalism in healthcare settings. Additionally, students will be trained to recognize and respond to common cardiac emergencies.
