Prerequisite(s): Accepted into BS Forensic Science Program and University Advanced Standing. Teaches basic principles of drug chemistry and toxicology as they relate to forensic science. Provides instruction on the pharmacokinetics of drugs including absorption, distribution, metabolism, and elimination, as well as postmortem drug redistribution differences. Teaches analytical drug extraction and separation techniques, and interpretation of qualitative and quantitative data. Course lab fee of $353 for materials applies. Lab access fee of $15 for equipment applies.
