Description:
The clinical pre-practicum consists of participation on a vertical team led by a licensed core or adjunct faculty member in the PsyD Program. Students enrolled in the pre-practicum will attend group supervision meetings, shadow assigned clinical cases during the semester, and practice therapy and assessment skills in a simulated clinical environment. The main goals of this course are to (a) help students begin conceptualizing how to provide basic clinical services, (b) ensure that students begin to build a foundation they will ultimately use in their work with clients, and (c) help students develop their ability to provide accept constructive feedback related to their developing clinical efforts. (Fall, Spring, Summer) [Pass/Fail] Repeatable for Add'l Credit? Yes - Total Credits: 6 Registration Restriction(s): PsyD students only
