Description:
Prerequisite(s): ENGL 2010 with a grade of C- or higher and University Advanced Standing. Introduces students to writing about our natural world. Teaches meaningful engagement in conversations about the environment. Requires extensive reading and analysis of texts about environmental stewardship, a portfolio of written work that engages specific audiences of complex issues connected to the wilderness, and critical discussions of assigned texts. Includes workshops of student writing. May require wilderness field trips; students with disabilities will be accommodated on field trips.
