Description:
This capstone studio course provides students with the necessary information to become professional art educators. Students will explore the properties and uses of multiple artistic materials as a tool for supporting the artistic development of youth. Students will have numerous opportunities to engage in hands-on experimentation with two-and three-dimensional media as they consider how best to apply these processes to visual arts education. Through studio work, workshops, presentations and discussions, students will learn about issues pertinent to beginning arts educators. Prerequisites: Declared Emphasis in BFA Studio Art OR Major status in Art Teaching OR completion of Graphic Design 1st year review
