Teaches the principles of Developmental Biology with a focus on the specialization of cells and their organization into body plans. Examines key model organisms and experimental strategies used to understand invertebrate and vertebrate development. Uses hands-on activities to explore gene networks, cell fate determination, and developmental patterning. Investigates current research trends to analyze how developmental processes relate to human health and disease.
