Second semester course. Further develops health and illness concepts within the three domains of the client, healthcare, and nursing. Emphasis is placed on the concepts of elimination, metabolism, intracranial regulation, cellular regulation, perfusion, infection, immunity, mobility, comfort, behavior, health-wellness-illness, critical thinking, nursing process, caring, time management/organization, leadership/management, and safety. Includes application of pharmacological health and illness concepts in acute care settings. Includes classroom and clinical learning experiences.
